TSEMI^™ Chips and Technologies Private Limited was founded in April 2025 with a vision to build India’s first global fabless semiconductor company, led by a strong leadership team with a proven track record and funded by industry veterans and marquee investors.

We looked at this opportunity almost a decade ago right after our first fabless semiconductor startup, Soft Machines, Inc., was acquired by Intel in 2016 but felt that the ecosystem was not ready then. The timing couldn’t be any better now thanks to the recent thrust behind semiconductors in general and fabs in specific, a growing domestic device and systems manufacturing ecosystem, global ecosystem looking for China alternative, 100X demand for chips driven by AI, and India’s 10X GDP growth from a $3.5T economy to $35T over the next 25 years.

The company is currently operating in stealth mode while working on bringing exciting connectivity and computing products and solutions to the market. The plan is to build chips for both domestic and global customers leveraging strong relationships with ecosystem partners from fabs to EDA vendors to IP suppliers to OEM/ODMs.
